Who Are Brid's Cross?
BRÍD'S CROSS (pronounced "Breed's Cross") draws its name from the cross of the Irish goddess Bríd, traditionally plaited from rushes for the festival of St Bridget's Day/Imbolc on February 2nd. This connection is particularly fitting as St Bridget is a patron saint of brewers, with folklore telling how she miraculously turned water into beer for lepers and provided enough beer for 18 churches from a single barrel.
Established in 2021-22 and launching their first commercial beer in September 2023, Brid's Cross is one of Britain's most exciting new craft breweries. They specialise in both traditional cask ales and modern beer styles available in keg and can formats.
